UBC Blueberry Fest

JS and I are still indisposed right now, so in the meantime, why not enjoy some blueberries at the UBC Blueberry Fest?

UBC presents its first UBC Blueberry Fest!

Days:
Tuesday, July 28
Wednesday, July 29
Thursday, July 30

Time:
9am to 1pm each day (rain or shine)

Where:
UBC Bookstore Plaza
(6200 University Boulevard and East Mall)

Supported by the BC Blueberry Council and the UBC Bookstore

The BC Blueberry Council will be promoting BC Blueberries with a fantastic supporting cast of events:
- Daily prize draw and free recipes
- UBC bookstore discounts
- Pancake breakfast, parfaits, blueberry muffins, scones, cakes, crème brûlée, blintzes on the menu
- Blueberries from the farm

  5. Wow that blueberry bread pudding looks awesome, it's never occured ot me to put fruit in bread pudding, but it totally makes sense. Nice choice on using challah too.

    I made the blueberry soup out of the French Laundry cookbook a while ago and love the flavour in a cold soup:-)

    Making that bread pudding was just an excuse to make a crisp topping. Hehe. We just happened to have some bread that needed using up.

  8. The second annual "UBC Blueberry Fest" is on July 13-16!

    9:00AM to 1:00PM at the UBC Bookstore Plaza (rain or shine).

    There will be daily prize draws, a mini farmer's market, bookstore discounts and everything yummy with BC blueberries including, pancake breakfast daily, scones, muffins Blueberry Creme Brulee, free recipes and more!

    Local musical talents: everyday and Blues Band, James Rogers Band on Friday.

    Blueberries by the flat from local farmers and freshly harvest produce from UBC Farm at the mini farmer's market.

    Did you know that BC is the second largest blueberry producing region in the WORLD (after Michigan) and that they are expected to produce 80 million pounds this year? There are 650 growers in BC that take up 17,000 acres!

    Join us at the UBC Bookstore Plaza (6200 University Boulevard & East Mall) next week!
