Wordless.
This is JS's Brioche from Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. The crust is a little smushed down because I packed it and waited for daylight before taking a picture.
This picture below was taken at night, right out of the oven.

ReplyDelete:>
ReplyDeleteOooh, right out of the oven! Yes!
ReplyDeleteawesome, I made their basic bread not long ago and loved it. I will make this for sure now.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a stand mixer (awful, I know :P ) but I've always really wanted to make brioche. I think I'll have to pick up the book-- the bread looks awesome!

ReplyDeleteJS deserves all the praise. I guess I failed to mention that it was she who made this. Teehee. =)
Manggy:
JS did this by hand. It's fairly wet, and not too much kneading is required.
But, of course, that doesn't matter. Just get the stand mixer already! =P
Yum, brioche....leads to brioche french toast.
ReplyDeleteOooh - fresh brioche from your very own oven. How marvellous.
ReplyDeleteThat brioche looks so good!

That brioche was evil! ;D It'd just be sitting there and enticing us to eat it! Bad, very bad! It has loads of butter! =D
Nice rust. Brioche is so good for toast and even sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this book, and now after seeing your Brioche I must buy it! It looks light and a tender crumb to it. Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThanks! That means a lot coming from you-who-bake-bread.

Pity we don't get commission. ;)
Wow! I need to try this...can't wait to slather on some butter and cheese on it (and ham and salted eggs and maybe purple yam too while I am at it!). Thanks for sharing.
